Weight Control – 2011

January 6, 2011 - 193.0 lbs.

New Year’s weekend did more damage than Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends combined.  I devoured a large tin can of popcorn in two days and I  went through a pound of tortellini with mozzarella cheese and meat sauce in one sitting.  My workouts were consistently intense, otherwise I would have put on more than .4 lbs.

January 13, 2011 - 192.0 lbs.

Other than a party on Saturday night, I was good maintaining my food intake.  I have been burning 700-750 calories per day at the gym since Monday (1/10).

March 7, 2010 - 181.4 lbs.

I haven’t posted in the last two months for two reasons.  I was away for the January 20 and 27 postings and my ceiling was leaking non-stop until Friday due to a clogged drain in the condo unit above me.  I have pretty much staying the course since the end of January.

March 20, 2011 - 178.4lbs.

April 12, 2011 - 172.0 lbs.

Finding the time to post has been difficult.  I am now walking 8 miles per day and have increased the weights when working out.   I have also found a program on the web that accurately tracks the caloric intake as well as calculate the calories burned.  Check out http://www.loseit.com.  Not only does it help lose weight, it helps maintain weight once you have reached your goal.

April 21, 2001 - 167.8 lbs.

My metabolism is way up. I am losing faster than expected. No recent changes to training or diet.

April 28, 2011 - 167.4 lbs.

Food intake was normal, but a variety of things hampered exercise all week. Friday and Saturday were slowed by tourists using the gym. Sunday was Easter and I did not work out at all. Monday was fatigue from the lack of sleep Sunday night. The last three days I have been dealing with a foot blister, which has hampered walking.

July 25, 2011 - 158.2 lbs.

I had forgotten about this blog, but I did not forget about my weight mission.  I have achieved my revised goal.  (My original goal was to go down to 150 lbs. but was changed following a recent shopping trip.  If my waist was to get any smaller, I would have to get pants in the boys’ section in department stores.
